Founded in 1993 after a friend suffered severe burns from falling into a bonfire – The party events hosted by a group of friends began to show profit. This group then voted to have all proceeds benefit the Shrine Children’s Burn Center, formed a 501c3 non-profit and was here-after known as the “Fireball Association.”

The event moved over the years from an annual event to a semi-annual event, hosting a Fall Bar-B-Q and a Spring Crawfish Boil each year. As a direct result of these events, The Fireball Association has contributed more than $50,000 to the Shrine Children’s Burn Center!

of Burn Children and Burn Victims.

Our mission is to provide funds for the Shrine Burn Center. By contributing to the Shrine Burn Institute, the Burn Center can continue to constantly strive for improved technology that enables better/faster healing and eases the pain and suffering of severe burn victims.

Facts about the Shriners of Central Texas:

-- Ben Hur has been in central Texas for 113 years

-- Ben Hur supports Childrens Hospital and supplies the transportation to and from the hospitals in Galveston and in Houston and transports around 200 children each year

-- It costs about $20.00 a second to operate the 22 Shrine Hospitals which Galveston Burn center and the Houston’s Childrens Hospital is a part of.
